After renting the property for years, the Client purchased it and initiated a comprehensive redesign to transform the tired interiors into a warm, character filled home for their young family. Whilst structurally sound, the property required updates to its uneven floors and ceilings, as well as its dated joinery. The original finishes, plain white wardrobe doors, painted floorboards, and resin flooring lacked the charm and personality they envisioned for the home. Embracing a traditional yet modernised approach, we combined vintage pieces with bespoke and contemporary furnishings, creating a layered aesthetic that honours the home’s architectural character whilst accommodating the practical needs of family life.

Situated on the top two floors of a Notting Hill villa, the duplex combines tranquility and sophistication. Two terraces flanking the kitchen evoke the charm of hidden gardens, offering a serene retreat from London’s bustling energy. The kitchen seamlessly extends into these terraces, with timeless "old world" details enhancing their character. The serene, neutral aesthetic carries into the primary bedroom, which exudes calm and invites rest. These thoughtfully curated spaces were designed to serve as a sanctuary, balancing authenticity, functionality, and a deeply personal touch to create a harmonious home tailored to the Client’s lifestyle.
