KHD was appointed in 2022 to undertake a full renovation of this mid-19th-century Italianate terraced house, situated in the heart of Notting Hill. Collaborating closely with the architects, de Rosee Sa, the layout of the property was completely reimagined to better suit the needs of a young, growing family. The aim was to optimise each space, ensuring it provided both functionality and comfort while preserving a sense of timeless elegance.

Although the property is not listed, KHD sought to honor and enhance its architectural character in a way that resonates with the original charm of the home. This involved reintroducing key period details which serve as a classic backdrop, juxtaposing contemporary design choices which add a modern and sophisticated edge to the space, seamlessly blending the original beauty and character with modern design principles to meet the demands of contemporary living.
